At just 22 years old, Anouchka, nicknamed Nouchi, is developing her freelance photography business in Caen. Passionate about images since childhood thanks to her father, she now feeds her vision through her history studies and photography practice.
Portraits, sports, events, or landscapes: she explores different worlds, with a clear preference for human contact. On Nohô, she offers accessible guidance on how to master your camera… and leave with your own images.
My name is Anouchka, but my nickname is Nouchi. I’m 22 years old.
I’m from Caen, not originally, but I’ve been in Caen for five years now and I’m a photographer.
Photography is a bit of a side project to my studies, but it’s been part of my life since I was a little girl. My father was a photographer, so I often had a camera in my hands. When I was 18, I was given my first “real” camera; before that, I used his.
After graduating from high school, I wanted to enroll in a program to become a photographer, but I wasn’t accepted because of my grades. So I turned to something else: studying history. Today, I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in history.
Last year, I decided to start freelancing as a photographer. I’ve been posting on my Instagram account since 2017, so it was a logical step to turn professional.
This year, I haven’t set myself any specific goals, but I would like to gain visibility and, above all, do more individual sessions.
Last year, I covered several events, notably in Caen with the Millenary, but I wasn’t necessarily face-to-face with a client. This year, I’d like to develop that aspect further: creating a more direct connection with the people I photograph.
I’ve already done sessions with friends and family, but working with people outside my circle would be a great step forward.
For now, I mainly do portraits. I don’t offer wedding photography yet, mainly because wedding photographers usually work with two cameras, and I only have one. I would also need more batteries.
For example, last year I covered a tattoo convention over a weekend, and by the middle of the day, I had already run out of battery power. That taught me to plan ahead when it comes to equipment and not to underestimate the time needed for shooting.
But in the long term, why not?
I dabble in a bit of everything, but I really like:
Even though I love landscapes, what I really prefer is interacting with people, especially in portrait photography. I’ve already organized several small sessions at my house with friends, and I really enjoy the dynamic of interaction.
On Nohô, I offer a one-hour session to learn how to better understand your camera.
This can be:
The goal is to learn:
At the end of the session, participants leave with photos that I have taken of them.
The idea is to make photography more accessible and to give people the confidence to try it out.
Between her studies in history and her passion for photography, Anouchka (Nouchi) has forged a career path that reflects her personality: curious, sensitive, and focused on people.
Through portraits and encounters, she has developed an accessible and compassionate approach to photography. On Nohô, she offers practical lessons to help everyone better understand their camera… and reveal their own unique perspective.
